From the picture it is difficult to determine Family, genus or species. Need a Picture which show the animal in more detail. Maybe a small Ophiopholis sp.? Attached picture is of the brittle star Ophiopholis aculeata, a common species among the hard-bottom fauna along the Norwegian coast.
Sorry, looked at Picture only and missed sampling area. Ophiopholis is obviously not the right genus as it is limited to the Northern hemisphere. However, your specimen still reminds me of species within family Ophiactidae (to which genus Ophiopholis also belongs). Only gave picture of Ophiopholis aculeata as example for comparison. And please don’t call me ‘madam’, I am not 90 years old :-D.
1- Ophiodaphne scripta (Ophiuroidea: Amphiuridae), a brittle star exhibiting sexual dimorphism and epibiosis: first record from India, with notes on adaptations, systematics and distribution
2-Brittle stars (Echinodermata: Ophiuroidea) from seamounts in the Andaman Sea (Indian Ocean): first account, with descriptions of new species
Unfortunately, the only thing that can be said from this image is that it is a brittle star. Juveniles are extremely difficult and very clear detailed images of their skeleton are necessary. To decide on Ophiothrix or not, I would need to see the jaws.
