I'm looking for information about the recovery of chloroacetamids compounds on the StrataX 33 µm polymeric sorbent.
The context of the question is the following one: I would like to use this sorbent to filter 100 mL of a drinking water (underground water; very pure), spiked with 1 000 µg/L of metolachlor ESA (=100 µg).
I cannot find data about saturation of this filter. How much compounds of this family can it retain before it pass through the filter? Is it too much metolachlor ESA for the sorbent?
Maybe the only manner to know it is to try and analyze the extracted metolachlor ESA?

I don’t think anyone would check on this. my recommendation is check the capacity with the tech rep of phenomenex and next do it experimentally..I would do only 50% capacity so you would have room for error of batch to batch.
Once a representative of Phenomenex in Poland told me that 500 mg of sorbent is able to adsorb approximately 5 mg of compounds (Strata SI-1). However, probably it is very compounds and matrix dependent. I think that such question about how much You can put in SPE cartridge needs to be answered experimentally.

for the record i did the experimentation, and don't see differences between sample wich have been solid phase extracted and the same sample wich have not been.
