Sintering temperature of metal powder used in laser sintering?

Fundamentally this is function of Tm: what metal/alloy? Laser sintering must melt the metal in question, plus some superheat to get it to completely fuse with the layer below.

Surface condition of that powder will matter to the laser which will affect peak temp. Maybe someone who know laser/material interactions well can comment on that.
