Hello everyone,
Class C oscillators have advantages of lower phase noise and power consumption. Searching in the literature I cannot find any single ended Class C oscillators. Though, there are Class C single ended power amplifiers. I was wondering if anyone have seen any single ended design, or even if it is possible to have or not?

The class C single ended oscillator would have troubles soft-starting since the amplifier would not be engaged at the initial near zero amplitude.

The key advantage of class C power amplifiers it the efficiency they can archive. On a oscillator configuration you want another benefit (low phase noise), and adding a little of bias change the conduction angle of the transistor (made it a class AB or class A) but the key characteristic of the circuit culprit of the low phase noise (resonant tank on the drain) remain unchanged.
