Actually cloudsim doesn't consider a proper networking environment. It does most of the things like a simple mathematical expression or model. In my case, I have two major areas that need to be depicted as real as possible. 1. Multiple Wireless Communication Technologies (i.e. Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, LTE) and 2. Resource allocation algorithm that considers network and computing resources of a mobile device.

Thanks, Khair Younes. But it doesn't provide any simulation environment. As for now, I need to perform some simulations for my thesis and if approved then I can use this API to develop the system properly.

OpenStack4j is a java library, but if you want a complete platform, we have openstack a complete open source platform. supported by hundreds of technology companies around the world . Will help you inject some tech (Resource Allocations, VM Scheduling .....).

Yes, for VM and Cloud scheduling this platform can be used. But it won't work for mobile ad hoc cloud. I am working on DCE-NS-3 but it is quite old now and w.r.t NS-3 it's version is old as well thus a lot of technologies are not being supported by it nor it has proper documentation. Anyways thanks :)

Dear Prof Atta Ur Rehman Khan thanks for sharing your research work, for mobile cloud computing we do have a lot of platforms such as Google Cloud Platform Amazon and so on. But unfortunately for mobile ad hoc cloud computing, there is no platform or framework available.

I'm also searching for a simulating tool or a framework for establishing an ad-hoc mobile grid using smartphones.

You are only talking about cloud side. What about the mobile device? You have to consider mobile device resources, communication link quality, and battery consumption. Unfortunately, these are not supported by any reliable simulator. I would suggest to read the following paper which highlights these issues in details. Also, it covers some works on ad hoc mobile cloud.

Dear Prof. Atta Ur Rehman Khan I am considering the ad hoc mobile devices creating their own cloud to share the resources, without any connectivity to the internet cloud. And yes, unfortunately, there isn't any simulator that supports all these together. However, I am trying to build using NS-3 and hopefully, in next 6 months, I will be able to simulate the basic scheduling mechanism based on the networking and device conditions and will keep it as an opensource project for further collaboration and extension to this work. Furthermore, thanks for this paper, I have already gone through this survey paper.
