I'm trying to simulate seismic behavior of reinforced concrete beam to column joint in LS-Dyna. I've prepared the model and didn't get any good results comparing to the experimental test result. The specimen is subjected to constant axial load and lateral cyclic displacement. I've used MAT (084/085) Winfrith concrete model for the column and beam parts. To consider the effects of concrete crushing in compression I have defined MAt_ADD_EROSION with minimum principle strain at failure (MNEPS) as an erosion criterion. However my simulation results don’t match with the experimental one (hysteresis force displacement curve). I have spent a lot of time for simulation and I'm really confused. Please can someone help me? If you can share your email, I’ll send the keyword file and the experimental curve.

I suggest doing it in Abaqus software. explicit special software focuses on high impact load which is roughly occurred under 1 second. so during analysis of seismic load you have a lot errors or maybe take a long time.

As far as I know concrete material models available on Abaqus do not have the ability to model pinching effect in hysteresis load-displacement curve. I simulate the behavior of RC joint under monotonic loading by using Abaqus and the obtained backbone curve is in good agreement with experimental results. I need to simulate the cyclic behavior. Any further suggestion would be appreciated.

in ansys it's a bit hard for nonlinear behavior of material, specially fon softening state. there is menetrey-wilam geomechanical model, which is good for concrete material. if your experimental molded is simple share it with me, please. also watch the below link from dr. dalyo:

According to your experience, I have the problem of modeling concrete shear wall in abaqus due to not being able to model pinching effects under cyclic load. Then, I am going to use LS-Dyna, can you please share me your experience in modeling RC elements in Ls Dyna? does it provide good results for cyclic load and pinching effects?
Is the Winfrith material practical for this porpuse?

LS-DYNA provides a wide range of material models for simulating the behavior of concrete. I have experience simulating seismic behavior of structural elements using material models 72R3, 84, 159, and 273 in LS-DYNA. Both the Winifrith concrete model (mat84) and concrete damage plastic model (mat273) are capable of demonstrating the pinching even without considering the effects of bond-slip between concrete and reinforcing bars, in comparison with other material models mentioned. So based on my experience I prefer the mat273 over the Winifrith model and recommend this model for analyzing reinforced concrete structures under cyclic loading for earthquake engineering applications.
