It would be a very nice feature if ResearchGate can recognize mathematical equations. Is there a way to type equations in the Q&A fields ?, other than the simple text format. Do you think that RG will add this important feature in the future ?
I don't know of any official solution from RG to rendering equations in its Q&As section, but one workaround is installing browser extensions for rendering LaTeX code on the fly.
For instance, I used Chrome's Latex for Facebook extension for posting and rendering equations to Facebook: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/latex-for-facebook/poipbfekjfkiblpnimhjjmdecjjiblhm
A more general extension that will render anything between [; and ;] into LaTeX images is TeX The World for Chromium: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tex-the-world-for-chromiu/mbfninnbhfepghkkcgdnmfmhhbjmhggn
Since I'm a heavy Google Chrome user, these are the only tools that I'm aware of. But I remember there are good Fireflox plugins as well with the same functionality. I'm not sure about Internet Explorer and other browsers, though.
