Cultural philosophies (in the form of stories) mostly had been transferred through ages vocally, well I suppose it was post renaissance that written text at source became the way of citing. One would hardly find any other 'at source' written text for knowledge, (except those like of Huen Tsang). Otherwise all scholarly written articles (especially religious) have been written many years after the source died. One is not sure about any of such written historical manuscripts from Greek or Roman cultures (kindly enlighten me about the same).

One personally feel that there is so much of knowledge around us, which we have ignored because we have listed them in the category of Mythology.What one questions is - 'the means of knowledge' is important or the 'knowledge itself' is important?
