Typically, freshmen are enrolled in 5-7 subjects for their first semester, and usually each of the subject’s lecturers would give students assignments as homework or projects to do for the next class. In my country at least, in the first week of classes lecturers would spend the first classes introducing ourselves, introducing the subject by explaining the general concept, and then gave assignments, often multiple. It is evident that many students falter at the "sheer volume of assignments" and eventually, they either sank/succumbed to copying off from other's works or the internet, or they improved themselves by figuring out how to manage their time. How can we make this situation better in order for students, freshmen in this case, to maximize their learning in college as soon as possible?
