Google has invested in DeepMind and that is their only tool. They will push the boundaries to crack the consciousness code but that will not be possible as the consciousness code=/= neural code.

Strong AI will not be based on DeepMind or any learning platforms. They will be self-referential autonomous machines that can understand. Progress is pending and funding is being sought worldwide.
