Semi analytical finite element method. Where to start????

I want to generate dispersion curve for Rail section. I studied papers and found that semi analytical finite element method can be used.

But I don't know from where should I start.

Programming in MATLAB might require but starting point ins not clear.

The following steps may be helpful:

1.reading significant data that span the geometry like vertices, intersection points of different curves, etc

2. Using the Mathematic Toolbox if necessary to define the geometry of the domain studied. (This Toolbox is also available in open access programming Languages like Python and Julia for more information see https://julialang.org) .

3. using a simple self-programmed mesh generator to discretize parts of the domain where necessary.
