Can anybody provide a reference article or publication which has applied inverse distance weighting interpolation method in QGIS to gap fill the Landsat-7 SLC off imagery?
I have done the gap filling by using QGIS after reading a post here at GIS StackExchange(Error gap-filling Landsat 7 SLC-off with QGIS 2.18.3 on Windows 10) but I need a solid reference.

Your best option is to use GDAL "filllnodata" in QGIS.

Reuben Reyes Thanks for your answer, but the second link is not working. The first link is bit different from the method that I have applied already. it would be nice to have something similar to "filllnodata in QGIS".
