I am doing an experiment using human erythrocytes and it was collected from consenting volunteers. Does it need the human ethics committee approval?

Only human research ethics committee can review your proposal & not animal ethics committee
If you have collected fresh samples you will need to obtain approval from a human ethics committee. Ideally approval should have been obtained prior to sample collection.

How can you collect own blood without helping other person. The blood got from animal or human. You must need ethical committee approval. Some time without approval your research will be rejected.
