We consider a 5G architecture consisting of 3 layers: the cloud layer, fog layer and an edge layer (user layer).
Our goal is to set up a scheduling algorithm that involves joint processing of multiple fog nodes to provide ultra-low latency to users. If the resources of the fog layer are insufficient, the resources of the cloud layers can be used.
My question is how can we simulate the overall system latency, energy consumption and bandwidth between the fog layer and the cloud layer by using ifogsim or Matlab?
