I found out large variations of the Vanadium contents (EDS analysis, more accurate analyses are already on schedule) within Titanites and Rutiles grains (detritral samples, mainly sandstones), do you know of any chemical classification based on the V concentrations that can be applied to those minerals? or what the V different % might be related to?

EDS analyses are meaningless on such particular kind of minerals where substitution are generally in very low amount.
Only EMPA (WDS+EDS) analyses after a correct calibration (Rutile - calibration for Zr, Nb,..; titanite-calibration with Zr, LREE) are usefull toverify the real composition.
However, about V-bearing rutile there are works related to hydrothermal environment.
However (again) you should verify (XRD, Raman) that your are looking to Rutile and not brookite nor anatese.

Hi Francesco, please have a look at the attached paper by Woodland et al (2018). Vanadium can occur in different valence states and it can be used as a proxy to estimate the oxygen fugacities of intrusions. Cheers Daniel
