Hello, i would like to ask about RSM technique (Douglas Montgomery - Design and Analysis of Experiment) page 434.
My question is, how author generate this graph(attached) if the regression obtained is :
y=40.44+0.775x1+0.325x2

The graph in your Word document was not generated from the regression equation.
Rather the regression comes from the the First-Order Model based on Table 11.1 (the tables have perhaps another numbering in your edition of the book). Based on the regression, new experiments were designed. Their results are shown in table 11.3 and the graph you mention was generated from this table. Finally a new set of experiments (table 11.4) was used to generate another regression around the optimum.
equation has been developed using experimental values (output) is termed as regression equation,which helps to predict the values(predicted values) from the input parameters...using those predicted values,the graph has been plotted......

but the issue is if you insert those value (table value) into those equation, the result is different from the graph plotted.
Ive tried to fill those value from the table into the equation and the responses is different from those graph.
That's because the equation has been obtained from another set of experiments, predicting a linear relationship. The graph however was obtained from a new set of experimental results that show that at some point you reach an optimum before your yield goes down again. Obviously, a linear regression is not suitable to describe the behavior of the system under these conditions.
