Rhizomatic learning is a way of thinking about learning based on likening it to the rhizome, a crawling root stalk, which stems from the plant that sends roots & shoots as it spreads. This indicates that ideas will multiply, become interconnected, possibly developed , and self-replicating. A rhizome has no apparent beginning or end just like the learning process. In the world of today, rhizomatic learning has become more available due to the advances in communications.
Thank you Dr. Nizar Matar...Rhizomatic learning is my research interest for my doctoral studies...I will be happy if you can share any resources on rhizomatic learning with me.
A starting point is to see the link below. When it opens, press (READ).You will see an introduction by Dave & a video of more than one hour about Rhizomatic Learning.
If you write in Google's search rhizomatic learning book, then you will see many interesting sites (I liked the one from The Open University, U.K).
Many times, I followed this type of learning myself going from one topic to another and sometimes returning to a certain topic for more deep look. Good Luck.
Thank you very much. This is a wonderful book from one of my main authors. Please keep me in mind anytime you come across materials related to rhizomatic learning or self-directed learning.
Actually, rhizomatic learning is already happening...it is yet to be "formally" known. Learners now leave in a connected world where they are opened to answers all around them.
