Hi there researchers,
I'v got a clay like (both contractive and dilative) in foundation (embankment) and would like to assess post seismic stability (i.e. residual strength parameters, post liquefaction strength parameters). After assessing the liquefaction we realized that that the clay like material won't experience flow liquefaction, while it could be subject of cyclic softening, so I was wondering how to get the residual strength of those material based on some seismic scenarios (e.g. AEP 1:1000 and 1:2000, with PGA of 0.2g and 0.3g respectively).
I'm aware that in Idriss and Boulanger (2008) there are some methods to correlate "Number of Uniform Cycles, N" to Cyclic Strength Ratio, but actually I'm looking for the residual shear strengths after the event (to evaluate post seismic stability).
would be appreciated if anyone could assist in this contexts or got any idea how to proceed.
Regards,
Mike
