Middlesex University uses eprints for our respository, so I am sure you could talk to them about the service they offer. http://files.eprints.org/ Other providers are used by other universities, e.g. http://www.dspace.org/. You can see our theses via the link on our repository home page: http://eprints.mdx.ac.uk/. Based on the complexity of the work, you are probably best served by looking at one of the existing suppliers rather than invent your own.
