Renewable energy refers to energy derived from natural resources that are replenished on Human timescale, It's called renewable energy because the sources of this energy can naturally replenish themselves over time and are not depleted when used. In my opinion, the name is appropriate and indicative of it.

As much as I know, the sun is burning and will not "replenish" itself. It will burn out, and it will become rather cold here on the earth. I would call the energy of the sun "clean" (it does not produce smoke), but not renewable.

Both concepts, while imperfect in terminology, are widely accepted for practical communication and categorization in their respective fields......

The same holds for "artificial intelligence"; there is no such thing as "artificial" intelligence. Whatever people produce shows (manifets) people's intelligence (and stupidity).

I asked this question because I have been impress by the fact that most people adore wrong concepts. And there is no way to change this love for what is wrong.
