In Italy (Turin) most of the schools are using google meet for on-line lectures. I have seen also use of Skype in private schools if class composed up to 4 pupils. Some public schools also use ZOOM just to explain the problems and to give more homework because free use of time duration is only 45 minutes. If the question was about use of distance learning in high educational system in that case every institute using there own platform for on-line lectures.
In Nepal, total closure. All schools and colleges are completely suspended. However, interested students are taking online classes, training and short term free courses available in online platform. In my research, I found a majority of them in the futurelearn platform.
To @Khurshid Aliev. ZOOM app is realy interesting. In Uzbekistan many govermental staff use it for the working on distance now. Espessially, because of easy used VC option there.
My school has been using MS Teams for over a year. It is free for the entire school. It's an LMS and has a host of subsidiary apps for videoing and generating polls etc.
There were prepared video lessons for the secondary schools by the Ministry of Education in Uzbekistan and organized their regular translation through TV to all level learners. Interactivity is provided by special educational platform already developed earlier.
Such kind of the educational TV translations are organized for some of the HEIs as well.
Regular TV translations according with the educational programs for the groups of the students seems to be not only effective distance learning option but it solves some of the social problems in current situation with corona virus. TV educational translations help to mitigate inconveniences of the total quarantine now as well. And it is the new feature of the distance education that could be studied.
Dear Kasim Khusanov I think video lessons translation on TV is very good idea, the lessons can be broaden until the rural places where internet connection is problem.
I have just a simple question, in TV translation approach how parents are managing homework tasks. I mean, parents are able to exchange homework problems with teachers and get feedback? If yes, how parents and teachers are managing homework issues?
@: There was developed special educational web platform, and parents can interect with teacher through it using mobile internet.
Main problem linked with the video streaming by VC apps is their overload due to huge number of accesses at one time. TV video translation solves this problem.
Kasim Khusanov Thank you very much for prompt answer. The connection of schools especially elementary schools to the web platforms gives a lot of possibilities and conveniences to the teachers and parents.
