Dear Aurangzeb! The subject training is yet a new entry in teachers trainings for many people. You better search for literature and visit the NGOs based schools where the they have and are experiencing such trainings. I would suggest you to meet master trainers, service providers and those who are getting these trainings. I personally do not know about it except its name that I have heard but after all it will be an impact study; evaluation, therefore you need to study MPTPST, its contents, procedure and objectives, the quality of education to be defined and then the impact. For impact you should interview service providers, MTs, administration and teaching staff of the schools which have experienced the trainings and finally students and parents. For the sake of comparasion it would be better to study pre-training situations an well and for this purpose different schools in your location could be selected but carefully as comparasions should be made among same schools of same level. last but the most important is your selection of methodology for each step and group of people specially students.
Dear Akbar! Thanks for your valuable suggestions yap I have similar plan for my research as you suggested. But I am little worry about how to measure the impact of these trainings on pupils. In few researches they taken the exam of the pupils along with few other methods. So getting exam of the students is looking horrible for me. You know in a qualitative study it could be a tough job. Anyhow I will try to discuss with you all that in detail for a better research plan some time.
I think you can rely on school results along with some chats and discussions with the students in their classes. It will be easy to go to classes with an unstructured and structured interview guides in different time and ask the students. The results of exam would better be taken from the teachers. Secondly do not stuck your self with qualitative approach only rather try to combine both. I think you should not rely on either approach but combination of both is necessary for you. For now review maximum literature. Best of Luck!
