Question for : Hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of spherical structure?

I got a little knowledge about hydrophilic and hydrophobic structure.And i want to do some photonics research base on the sructure.Now i just get an article about cylindrical structure with 5um radius.I noticed that sphere may do same thing, just like microstructure on lotus leaves.But i didn't search any article about it(i searched Hydrophobic sphere structure ,but no answer).Could anyone give me some suggestions about it.Seems that i needn't get special details about it(like how to process it), but i need know it scale(like the radius min or max,the relationship between ball integrity and hydrophilicity) to do next job.Thanks a lot!
