Coherences modify the dynamics of quantum systems by coupling with populations. For example, Electromagnetically induced transparency, coherent population trapping. One physical explanation for these phenomena can be traced back to the interference between quantum mechanical transitions. Many of the researchers use these two terms "quantum interference" and "quantum coherence" interchangeably. But classically, there is a strict difference between interference and coherence.
There is a very comprehensive book on this issue: "Quantum Interference and Coherence: Theory and Experiments" by Zbigniew Ficek and Stuart Swain. In particular, in the first chapter, the authors contrast the Classical and Quantum Interference and Coherence notions. Take a look.
To the best of my knowledge, in the quantum realm, they are both one and the same thing. Because, without quantum interference, there will be no quantum coherence.
