Climate change has become a reality, and is one of the greatest challenges the world is facing today. Climate change is mainly caused by anthropogenic activities which release greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere, particularly burning of fossil fuels, agriculture and deforestation. Evidences indicate that the global average surface temperature has risen by about 0.76°C since 1900 and is predicted to increase by 1.8°C to 4.0°C by 2100. The environment and humanity have been threatened by the escalating impacts of climate change. Thus, urgent actions are needed to combat climate change. With this in mind, I want to raise a question for our insights: Is climate change forever? Alternatively, which one of the following scenarios will happen to the Earth’s climate beyond 2100 – ever increasing, stabilizing or crashing/cooling? Dear members of ResearchGate, have your say or please provide evidences.
