The project entitled "Sodium nitrate and nitrite: from mechanisms to antihypertensive therapy" funded by FAPESP offers a Post-doctoral scholarship for up to 2 years starting immediately. Applications are now open for candidates and immediate selection.

The selected candidate must have a PhD degree, good background in cardiovascular pharmacology, good knowledge of cardiovascular and gastric pharmacology and physiology. The candidate must have wide experience with surgical techniques used in animal rodent models of cardiovascular diseases including the 2 kidney, 1 clip hypertension model, cannulation of arteries and veins and collecting tissue samples for biochemical analysis.
