I have a question regarding COllinear spdc in PPLN devices.
Most of the articles which are published are based on Type-0(e-ee interaction) and Type-2(o-eo interaction)
However, LiNbO3 also has a d13 coefficient, which makes it it feasible to have Type-1 SPDC Collinear Interaction where in, the pump is extra-ordinary direction, and signal and idler are ordinary waves.
But, i have not seen any paper published based on this interaction.
Is it possible experimentally to achieve this?

Yes, you are right. The SPDC can be achieved with type-I configuration in PPLN. However, the down-converted bandwidth is much larger than type-0 phase-matching at this wavelength range, making a down-converted photons low brightness. I guess it is the reason that few articles focus on this scheme.
