Please suggest me the minimum power of lasers which will help to perform Pump-Probe Setup? Is It sample specific?

I have two lasers one is Nd-Yag Nano Pulsed laser and one CW at 1550nm with power 15mW. Can I perform the pump probe set-up with this.
