Please help to understand ~/.bashrc and source ~/.bashrc in Ubuntu 16?

I edited . /.bashrc file with vim command to add the below line of code but i do not know how to add the same line of code to "source ~/.bashrc file.

In short, please someone tell me how can i add this below line to source ~/.bashrc

export MALMO_XSD_PATH=~/MalmoPlatform/schemas
