Please explain the physical phenomena behind the behavior during the cooling of PCM shown in Figure?

The PCM is first melted and then cooled at room temperature. However, during the cooling cycle, it shows a sudden temperature increase at the instant of phase change occurrence. This is the temperature of the rear of the PCM container.
