Dear all,
Currrenly, I am working on a project involving the adsorption of molecules on the crystal surface using Quantum ESPRESSO. As, I understand that phonon dispersion is important to understand the feasibility of the adsorption at 0K. However, I have one concern for that.
As my system is quite big, so using vc-relax, to relax whole lattice can be time consuming. So, is it recommended to pertubate only the adsorbed molecules and top-layer of the crystal, using 'nat_todo' parameter in ph.x? Also, if I do so, will non-relaxed lattice (with vacuum) can create any unwanted negative frequency?
