I wish that Molecular Devices are actually following this question and listening. I think that a lot of people would be interested to use pClamp and Calmpfit using Mac OS. Thank you for asking this question CZ.
That is why the founder of axograph left molecular devices. He wanted to integrate pclamp to make them make compatible but the company didn't so he left and started his company
Thanks all the above nice people! Really hope Molecular Devices will solve this problem. I do not know the reason why there is no pClamp version for Mac OS for a lot of researcher based on MAC. At beginning, I think it is of course with the Mac version; however, after I search the homepage, it's disappoint. Your answers are definitely useful for me.
I think WineBottler turns out be a good solution, and you can use pretty much every function in Clampfit to analyze your data [at least on my Mac]. To avoid crashing, try not to analyze multiple recording files at once and remember save you changes before you analyze next file just in case it crash. I only ran into a hard time copying my traces using WineBottler that I have to use Windows to run the Clampfit.
