Usually superconductors shows a diamagnetic response while cooling it down through its critical temperature in presence of small field. However, it has been observed in many high temperature superconductors (HTSC) as well as Niobium (conventional low-temperature superconductor), that the field cooled magnetisation becomes positive. It is widely known as the Wohlleben effect. What is confusing is, is there a difference between PFCM and PME? Many reports even suggests that, if the FCW magnetisation is higher (less diamagnetic )than that of FCC magnetisation, it is called as PME.
