I want to calculate packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) for a wifi adhoc network. My method is to compute for a simulation duration the number of packets received by a reference node 'A' divided by number of packets transmitted by all the nodes except a reference node 'A' .
Is it correct method to compute PDR. In simulation and real world scenario, there could be difference in PDR between each of the network nodes.
Can anyone suggest correct procedure for PDR calculation ?
You'de better sum up the number of overall generated packets within all the sources and the number of overall received packets within all the receivers , then you devide them

I will give a conceptual answer which may be useful and enable you get the correct method by your self.
There is a golden rule which says that you measure the quantity as you define it.
Packet delivery ratio is a performance parameters of the adhoc networks. So you have to elaborate its definition as Abir Ben Ali hinted. You have to model your network and its traffic model. If you have N nodes in your network and we want to consider node d is a destination node while the other nodes are source nodes issuing packets sent to the the node D, the observation time is T, Then the number of issued packets from all nodes N-1 say SUM Packets with destination D in time T, the delivered packets to destination node is DEL P to D.in time T,
Then the packet delivery ratio can be defined as PDR= DEL p to D/ SUM P issued to destination D.
You can examine the definition by Abir Ben Ali and whether it conforms with this deification.
