I just finished reading a book explaining that Philosophy has to be reworked, in order to account for the findings of Cognitive Science, that our Morality is innate, and not under our Will. In it, several "Moral Modules" are explained, within the context of a financial accounting. This makes sense, and there is evidence of precisely this heuristic in many texts--especially the Bible. I would like to know how Philosophy has been affected by this research? the author of the book is smug; it is off-putting to accept his remarks.
Any comments by those who are familiar with these Moral Modules are welcomed; I am presenting an abstract of my work soon, and hope to present at conference end of March.
