I have one dependent variable which is measured by 4 questions on Likert scale. I also have 3 independent variables (5-points Likert scale). I would like to compare the effect of 3 independent variables on the dependent one. kindly help

you can predict your dependent variable with your 3 independet variables. use a multiple regression analysis(in SPSS: analyze/regression/analysis)

You can use relative weight analysis to examine the relative importance of the predictors.
