The research I am undertaking requires the investigation of small mammal hair taken from the corpses of small mammals. Would anyone know where to obtain such a thing or which organisations to approach regarding this?

Water vole
Brown/Black rat
Dormouse
Harvest mouse
Wood mouse
Natural history museum collections are excellent sources of such materials, but you will have to provide detailed justification for your request. The curators will basically wish to be certain that your request is "worth" the damage to the specimens. Town Peterson
You could try contacting the Mammal Society. Many of their members are involved in monitoring small mammal populations using capture and release methods and may be able to collect some samples for you before the animals are released. Even if you only need samples from dead animals they may still be worth asking as they might be able to put you in contact with people who could help you.
