I understand that India has the capacity but the risk factors are too many. Canada had been thinking of going nuclear but it is nervous and stuck with the necessary safeguards with respect to disposal of the waste. It is clean and cheap source of producing electricity if we do not have the disposal problem.

Very sad that India is not having any policy for radio active disposal a recent news. Radioactive waste is not even mentioned in any of the ministry rules relating to e-waste disposal. India is not realizing the risk factor of Nuclear production even though we say it is gateway. check the comparative study of other countries like USA, China U.K etc.., what are the policies and facilities and progress towards final repositories.
