1. make a new electrode aged for 24 hr and then take a measurement.
2. while taking measurements give some initial potential(depending on which software is used).
3. carefully check the reference and counter-electrode connections.
Bandi Hari Can you explain the reason why we need to aged the electrode for 24 h? is it for properly electrolyte penetrates into the cavities and porous structures?
yes, you are right Yasun Kannangara I have read many papers regarding EIS. The best aging for EIS measurements for the battery is 80 hr. I think for the supercapacitor 24 hr was enough and let's check once.

follow up 'aging'.
You might like to follow up the (detailed timeline) progress of that 'aging', by implementing a fast (~5 min) non-invasive P-EIS, measured every hour (at OCV).
A converging Z-spectrum will show when (/how) there is an end of that 'aging progress'[1].

Since it is repeatable, please check the linearity of your system and that your data is consistent with the Kramers-Kronig relations. Is it possible also to put some frequency values on the Nyquist plot?
