Hi Martin,

Happy New Year and my best for 2017. Last year at this time I was in a village in Muleba district of Tanzania - dissecting as always. The Christmas break was the only time my job really let me get to do what I enjoyed best. Anyway I have a set of data (a 42 day time series)  that shows that mozzies dissected dead on arrival give different estimated gonocyle lengths than those dissected live. It is something I have tried to do before but this is a nice data set. It needs someone like you to analyse it in depth. Would you be interested? (of course one of the main reasons for doing the work was that people might sometime think how dedicated I was working over Christmas and the New Year! On Christmas eve the children of the house were excitedly telling each other 'Wali keshu'! (Rice tomorrow!) puts things in perspective somewhat. best Derek
