I am Computer Science student, so the topic should be related with computer science side.

There are good number of Medical Imaging Applications you can work out for.
Please go through the pathology of any Disease which you want to do research with
Medical Images and a knowledge on Medical Imaging Modalities like X-ray, MRI, CT is mandatory.
It is better to opt for 3D Medical Image Analysis using MRI and CT & learn Tools like Matlab and MIPAV.
