I need the mechanical properties (poison ratio, young modulus, yield strength, ultimate strength, tensile strength etc ) of human muscle for performing a simulation. I searched for different sources but didn't get a generalized value. Can anyone help me providing the mechanical properties of muscle (specially muscles at the lower body)? Thanks.
You should be more specific, which muscle you are looking for. In general, muscles are made of collagen, which is a biological tissue. So, you should see what is the main component of your interested muscles. Then, according to its type collagen, you can easily find the mechanical properties of the collagen.

Thanks for your response. I am actually looking for muscle properties of gluteus maximus , gastrocnemius and soleus muscle properties. The first article that you have provided in for rat model. I don't know if it will match for human muscle.
I worked on synthesized composition of collagen with magnetic nanowires using atomic force microscopy. I haven't worked on different collagen or mechanical testing of them. In general, I don't think so there is a big difference. Just search more about mechanical testing of collagen which matches with the muscles that you are working on. If you couldn't find specifically for human, then it is fine to use rat or rabbit which are most common in research institutions.
