Looking at the seriousness of the brucellosis (appearance of 61 cases of Brucellosis in 2009-10) National Brucellosis Control Program was started with an allocation of 250 crores.
In 2008-09 as per records there was no brucellosis in India but after 5 years of implementation of National Brucellosis Control program number of cases reached 502 in 2015-16.

Dear Ali, you may be right but the problem is not seropositivity problem is clinical disease and confirmed by isolation. RB51 came just few years ago but using same S19 vaccine disease have been controlled in many parts of the world.
previously this disease was under reported but now better culture techniques have led to improved isolation of brucella and hence increased its reporting
