It is my personal opinion, may be wrong, as a geologist/geoscientist that most relevant experts look hesitants to answer the questions on Research Gate. On the other side, in a GEOTECTONIC GROUP, experts rush to answer the questions or look fully participating in a discussion. If one asks a question there, in turn answers start to gather making a book from very relevant experts.

The difference between RG and your example of "GEOTECTONIC GROUP" is that the latter is more professional than the former. RG is like "Face book" which only simple questions are given a cursory answer. Perhaps in fullness of time RG members will find their feet and deal with questions more expertly.

Looking onto your questions... Majorities have such a problems which can be resolved... In the actual social conditions the good ideas are not paid... Majority cases are taken freely... If somebody wants to get a good response (Full of originality) example resolution of Earthquakes prediction etc. Have to offer something (position, make an increase of responding motivation)... In majority case we have to pay for all for job, language lesson, translation, but nobody want to offer nothing for such a ideas which can measured in billions Dollars,

Your statement ''Most relevant experts look hesitants to answer the questions'' is possibly true. And I have written ''possibly true'', because I have not access to any relevant statistics. I agree with the aforementioned views of the colleagues. I can understand the hesitation of the colleagues who have chosen not to answer the questions, here, in RG net. But, I can not understand the responses of the colleagues in which, they have chosen to criticize the responses of their colleagues only, without answering practically to the posted questions.
