A positive takeaway that has been identified from one survey was done by the US, that many international students seem to view the coronavirus pandemic as a temporary phenomenon. A slight majority of 53 percent of respondents who intended to study in the U.S. before the pandemic plan to merely postpone their studies, rather than scrap their plans altogether or study at home or in another country. The fact that 23 percent of respondents are likely to study in a different country, however, should serve as a warning to U.S. institutions. Countries that bring pandemic spread under control the earliest will almost certainly have an advantage in recruiting mobile students once international mobility sputters back into gear.
PRESENTLY ONLY OPTION IS ONLINE NOW WE HAVE TO DEVELOP THESTRATEGIES HOW TO DEVELOP THE SKILL AND PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATIONS OF ONLING TEACHING MODULES AND VALIDATION.
There are two sides of Teaching, Learning and Research Work in academia as per my observations during this pandemic.
1) Online Based; which actually benefits peoples from some specific disciplines/stream (e.g., computer science) to carry out their algorithm/software based work in their PC or Laptop etc.
2) Offline Based, where people need to physically attend the institute/organization to carry out essential experiments and laboratory based outcome. These category of people especially suffers due to uncertain announcement of lockdown or unavailability of materials/instruments unlike working on computers.
NOW ONLY OPTION IS ONLINE HOEWEVER ALONE WITH THEORY THERE SHOULD BE PRACTICAL EXAMPLE SO THAT STUDENT WILL LEARD AND IT SHOULD NOT BE ONE WAY TEACHING, SO IN BETWEEN CLASS THERE SHOULD BE INTERACTIONS
Undoubtedly, Covid-19 Pandemic has marked a significant on education as well as on student mobility. As per my observation, this is the first instance in the mankind that suddenly online mode of education has become the only way left for teaching learning process and that too at a global front.Consequently, this sudden shift of offline class into virtual mode not only paved a way for a students as well as educators to get acquaint with the diverse ways of engaging the students in non-real world (use of various educational apps) which were no where in the list during offline mode of classroom interactions. In my opinion, blended form of teaching (both offline and online) would be the scenario of future education.
Online mode of education is ideal for such pandemic situations. Available apps are capable enough for pursuing a collaborative model of education with the participation of educators and scholars. However available resource is not enough for evaluation or examinations in a secured environment. Also, it is important to think about how to conduct laboratory sessions in such mobility-restricted pandemic situations.
