Mirroring effect in ddPCR, possible reasons and resolutions?

We have conducted a ddPCR experiment with one FAM probe and one HEX probe, and when we analyze the results we see that in some of the samples we obtain a "mirroring" effect (see image), where it seems that we have two clusters one above the other. However, this doesn't appear in the control samples, so we don't think it could be because of the PCR reaction setup.

Does someone know which could be the reason for this?
