I need a heatless monochromic light source suitable for research of photochromic behavior of Azobenzene containing thin films. In this regard, I am looking for UV and visible light sources which I can select a desirable wavelength. One company has offered me to use a 150 W xenon lamp and use filters to have light in UV and Visible region. However, I have seen in articles that different types of lamp have been used for this purpose for example, Mercury lamp as UV and Xenon as visible source . Can a xenon lamp work as a UV and visible source?
