When using the IEEE style and inserting citations as numbers in brackets, the references at the end are listed by their corresponding numbers and not alphabetically. How can I sort the references alphabetically and have the citation numbers in the text automatically updated?
According to IEEE style, the order will be based on the numerical order. You can first create the bibliography with APA, copy-paste to a new file with formatting. Then, create the references with IEEE.
Thank you very much. I was hoping there was a built-in option for sorting. It's a pity that this isn't integrated into Mendeley.

As far as I understand this, this implies changing the IEEE style within your personalized Mendeley, so you would have to reset it when you want to create a "normal" IEEE publication.
I’ll try it today and we’ll see what happens. However, I’ve found several discussions online suggesting that it’s not possible. I’ll let you know if I succeed.
