I just signed up for researchgate, but I had to enter my institutional account. I practiced law for over ten years, and have been doing medical research (literature review) for the past ten years, which enabled me to cure myself of four "incurable" and fatal medical conditions. But I am not affiliated with a university, aside from having attended Virginia Commonwealth University as a philosophy student, and American University as a law student from 1993-1998. The only way I was able to register was by using [email protected]

Am I permitted to use my gmail address instead of my alumni email address? If not, am I permitted to use my alumni email address although I do not have any affiliation with VCU aside from having studied there?
