Matlab 2017b hang on "busy" when using syms function, whether in Command Windows or in Script. What should I do to fix it?

I think after my windows was updated I encountered this problem. Is there any supplementary file that I can use to fix this problem?

I have the exact same problem.

The problem is due to windows update as you stated. I think updating to Matlab 2018a and updating it will fix this issue.

I'm currently testing if applying updates solves this problem or not.
